WAVwatch + Flex Partnership
Do you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) that you want to use to purchase your WAVwatch? We have partnered with Flex to allow qualified customers to use their HSA or FSA debit card to buy the WAVwatch with pre-tax dollars, resulting in net savings of 30-40%.
Flex makes it easy! Just follow the steps below.
1) In the cart, click “Check out”
You cannot be logged into Shop Pay, Amazon Pay, PayPal, or any other payment provider if you want to use Flex | Pay. So make sure to click “Check out” and not one of the other payment options.
2) Select Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA at Checkout
Instead of paying with a credit card, PayPal, or Shop Pay when purchasing your WAVwatch, select “Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA” to begin the approval process which allows qualified customers to pay with their HSA/FSA debit card. The click “Pay Now.”
3) Begin the Flex | Pay form
After you click “Pay Now” the approval process will begin with a chatbot. Payment will not be processed until after the Flex | Pay form is complete and you authorize payment. In the first step, click or type “I Agree.”
4) Enter basic information & medical conditions
The Flex | Pay form will ask for some basic information such as phone number and state of residence. Then you will be prompted to select from a list of medical conditions.
5) Pay with HSA/FSA Card
Once the Flex | Pay form is completed, if approved you will be able to enter your HSA/FSA debit card details to complete your order.

I don’t see the HSA / FSA option at checkout.
You may be logged into Shop Pay. Try logging out of Shop Pay. If you continue to be pushed into the ShopPay checkout, we recommend completing your purchase in an incognito window.
It is also possible that none of the items in your cart are HSA or FSA eligible (if you are buying accessories on their own without a WAVwatch, for instance). Reach out to info@wavwatch.com if you think there is an error.
I keep being pushed into Shop Pay. How do I use my HSA/FSA card?
If you continue to be pushed into the ShopPay checkout, we recommend completing your purchase in an incognito window.
What is an FSA or HSA and what are the benefits?
An FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and an HSA (Health Savings Account) are tax-advantaged accounts for medical expenses but differ in key aspects. FSAs, employer-sponsored, allow employees to use pre-tax dollars for medical expenses such as prescriptions and copays, but typically feature a "use-it-or-lose-it" policy where funds must be used within the plan year. HSAs are available to those with a high-deductible health plan and offer more flexibility, allowing funds to roll over annually.

Why was my HSA or FSA card rejected?
Like any credit or debit card, HSA/FSAs can be declined if any of the data from the card is incorrect (number, expiration date, zip code etc). Flex will alert you in checkout if any of these fields is missing or incorrect so you can update them.
The most common reason for rejection of the card is insufficient funds. Reach out to your HSA or FSA provider to verify the amount of money in your account before attempting to complete your purchase again.
Can I combine a payment plan with HSA / FSA purchase?
This is not supported or recommended at this time. If you qualify, use your HSA/FSA funds to complete your purchase.
How can I spend my FSA or HSA funds at WAVwatch?
Select “Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA'' at checkout. Input your card details and checkout as usual.

What if I don’t qualify?
You will find out immediately during the checkout process if you are eligible to receive a letter or not. If you are eligible, your HSA/FSA card will be accepted. If not, you will get a notification that you are not accepted (which is rare) and then you will be prompted to purchase via other methods, including credit cards and monthly payment plans vis Shop Pay or Paypal.
I don’t have an HSA or FSA card. Can I still use my HSA/FSA funds?
Yes, you can still be reimbursed for the expense as long as your insurance has an HSA or FSA account for you to use.
Select “Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA” at checkout. Instead of entering your HSA or FSA card, input your regular credit card.
Flex will email you an itemized receipt following your purchase. Submit the itemized receipt to your HSA or FSA provider for reimbursement.
What is a Letter of Medical Necessity?
A Letter of Medical Necessity (LOMN) is a document written by a healthcare provider that explains why a specific medical service, treatment, or equipment is necessary for a patient's health. In relation to an HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account), an LOMN is often required for reimbursement of expenses that are not clearly defined as eligible under the standard IRS guidelines.
Who is Flex and what is their relationship with WAVwatch?
Flex has partnered with WAVwatch to enable consumers to use their HSA/FSA funds. You can think of Flex as an alternative to payment method, similar to Affirm, Klarna etc.
